ML Engineer – Risk & Fraud Models

Job description

Join the team building the artificial intelligence models behind Finvero's Alternative Risk Score and Fraud Score, used by more than 80 financial institutions in Mexico, Colombia and Brazil. You will design, train and deploy models that evaluate more than 1.5 million credit applications every month.

Key responsibilities

• Build and improve credit risk and fraud detection models (XGBoost, LightGBM, neural networks).
• Deploy models to production through low-latency APIs and monitor their performance (drift, AUC, KS).
• Build feature pipelines using alternative data from more than 80 sources.
• Automate model training, validation and deployment (MLflow, Docker, CI/CD).
• Work with Product and Risk teams to turn business needs into measurable models.

Profile requirements

• 3+ years as an ML Engineer or Data Scientist with models in production.
• Advanced Python (pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost or LightGBM) and SQL.
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP or Azure) and containers.
• Knowledge of MLOps and model monitoring.
• Nice to have: experience in credit scoring, fraud prevention or financial services.
• Intermediate-advanced English.
