Data Engineer – Alternative Data Platform

Job description

We are looking for a Data Engineer to scale the platform that integrates more than 80 alternative data sources and powers Finvero's credit models. You will design reliable and secure pipelines that process more than 1.5 million applications per month, in line with ISO 27001 standards and financial regulation.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines (Spark, Airflow, Kafka).
  • Integrate new alternative data sources through APIs and files.
  • Model the data warehouse and data lake for analytics and ML models (dbt, SQL).
  • Ensure data quality, governance and security (ISO 27001, personal data).
  • Optimize cost and performance of the cloud data infrastructure.

Profile requirements

  • 3+ years as a Data Engineer.
  • Advanced SQL and Python.
  • Experience with Spark, Airflow (or a similar orchestrator) and dbt.
  • Experience with AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift or Athena) or the GCP/Azure equivalent.
  • Nice to have: Kafka streaming and financial services experience.
  • Intermediate-advanced English.
